Proteans is the winner of 2009 Red Herring's Global 100 award, a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from around the world and joins the league of prior winners at the Red Herring awards viz., Google, Yahoo, Skype and YouTube. Proteans are among the 10 Indian firms to figure in the Global 100 list. Proteans was selected the most innovative companies from a pool of 1,200 - comprising of regional recipients or finalists of the Red Herring 100 awards in 2007, 2008, or 2009 ranging from Asia, Europe, and North America. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries.
